Introduction of the Faculty
The mentor team focuses on solving the major needs of clinical ophthalmic disease treatment, and constructs advanced ophthalmic biomimetic functional interfaces and nano-drug delivery carriers from the perspective of materials science, providing a new strategy for the management of clinical diseases. The specific research field are the surface biomimetic modification and functionalization of macro-scale ophthalmic biomaterials (intraocular lenses, contact lenses, glaucoma drainage tubes, etc.), micro-scale micro-environment intelligent response and construction of ophthalmic physiological barrier-penetrating nano-drug carriers, solving Ocular surface dry eye, corneal infection, and clinical problems such as diabetic retinopathy in the posterior segment of the eye, choroidal neovascularization, and macular edema. In the past 5 years, the research team has received 5 national-level project support, more than 10 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and more than 5 million research funds are available for research. The team has 8 key faculty members, more than 30 graduate students, and published more than 70 SCI papers, including 1 Cell sub-journal, 6 papers with a score of more than 10, 3 papers were selected as ESI highly cited, and established cooperative relationships with top research groups nationally and internationally.
