INTRODUCTION OF THE ALBERTA INSTITUTE WENZHOU MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

The Alberta Institute,Wenzhou Medical University(Joint Institute) is a Chinese-Foreign Cooperation in Running Schools-jointly established by the Wenzhou Medical University and the University of Alberta, one of the top 100 universities in the world. It is the first Chinese-Foreign Cooperatively Run-School on Clinical Medicine inChina. In2020, the Joint Institute will begin student recruitment for an undergraduate program in Clinical Medicine, Master program in Dentistry, Master and Doctorate programs in Psychiatry The Joint Institute aims to cultivate world leading medical talents with the multi-faceted skills required to confidently, compassionately, and innovatively lead the future of medicine. Through introducing advance concepts from an excellent cadre of faculty using a diverse set of teaching methods, delivered using modern learning technologies, we aim to provide a high quality education experience to students from a world-class medical school. The establishment of the joint institute will promote the construction and development of a First-class discipline at the Wenzhou Medical University and deliver the needs for an elite medical education to the public. t will further contribute to the strategy of the Zhejiang Province in establishing high-calibreeducation institutions and international development.
