9月6日中午，阿尔伯塔学院2020级本科生临床阶段宣誓仪式在生物医药科研楼B115室举行。仪式由阿尔伯塔学院加方执行长Tracey Hillier教授、本科项目课程设计负责人Carol Hodgson教授联席主持，阿尔伯塔学院全体2020级本科生参加。

活动中，Tracey Hillier教授和Carol Hodgson教授带领同学们共同庄严宣誓。与以往医学生宣誓所使用的《希波克拉底誓词》或《中国医师宣言》不同的是，本次宣读的医学誓言是由同学们集体起草完成的，涵盖了诚实、尊重、保密和责任四个方面的内容，总计包含30项条款。除了医学誓言的基本职业道德要求之外，还囊括了学术学风、朋辈氛围、职业态度等多方面行为准则的详细规定，展现了同学们作为新时代医学生的庄严承诺和对医生这一职业新使命和新责任的崭新理解与自我约束。

宣誓仪式结束后，57位同学一一上台，用英语讲述了自己学医的初心，彼此分享在成为医者的道路上砥砺前行的精神动力。其中，“新冠疫情”“帮助他人”“远离病痛”和“获得幸福”成为了大家杏林学医的高频理由，相似的初心也彰显着2020级本科生彼此内心中共通的使命愿景。

随后，同学们纷纷在共同缔结的医学誓言书上，郑重地签下了自己的名字。

医本仁术，德乃医本。据悉，阿尔伯塔学院在扎实的知识技能的培养之外，始终注重对学生人文素养的涵养和责任意识的塑造。同学们表示，恰逢临床阶段课程启动之际，本次宣誓仪式的举办让大家更加坚定投身医学的初心使命，也再次明确了从医为医的责任和使命。这种精神力量也将促进他们在接下来在以加方课程为主的临床课程体系中，增强自身学识，学贯中西、博采众长，努力成长为堪担“救死扶伤”大任的杰出医学人才，用身体力行诠释优秀的医者担当。

我为什么选择从医？

Since the covid-19 swept the world. I am deeply aware of the importance of doctors. Moreover, I think being a doctor is something glorious and challenging. And for me, helping others in need is a good way to realize my value of life.
